The objective of the Thoits Insurance Sales Internship Program is to expose students to real-world employment experiences in the insurance industry. Our internship is designed to provide students with meaningful employment experience and an appreciation for, and understanding of, the insurance industry with a potential to develop a career in insurance Sales.

Job Activities

• Gather insurance information
• Internet Research
• Marketing Campaign Administration
• Data Set-up
• Market to prospective clients via telephone/email
• Set Appointments
• Assist with data entry into contact management/campaign software
• Set up policies for delivery including verification of form numbers
• Other Sales/Marketing tasks to be determined

• Familiarity with MS Office products including Word and Excel

• Possess strong relationship skills for building key clients
• Work to meet growth goals and have a strong marketing background
• Demonstrated desire to work in marketing/finance and sales
