Thoits Insurance was established in 1891 as an enterprise of the Thoits family, serving the commercial and personal insurance needs of small business in Palo Alto. In 1975, five employees bought out the Thoits family's interests and since then, the company has thrived as an employee-owned company.
We continue to help businesses manage risk, insure their interests, provide employee benefits, and position themselves for the future. What makes us unique, however, is our ownership perspective. As owners, we are dedicated to delivering the highest level of service and optimal solutions to our clients because when they succeed, we succeed. Our growth validates this approach. We have 69 employee-owners and service over $150 million in client premiums.
