Mike Mulqueeney is a Vice President in the Employee Benefits Division of Thoits Insurance. As Vice President, Mike is responsible for new client acquisition, client retention and relationship management. Mike rejoined Thoits Insurance in 2010 after being part of the Thoits team from 1993 thru 1999.

Mike attended Cal State Long Beach while studying Business Marketing before he began his insurance career in 1989 with MetLife. While with MetLife, Mike provided advanced life insurance solutions for businesses and high net worth individuals. In 1999 Mike joined a North Bay consulting firm as Vice President of Sales. There, Mike designed and managed custom self-funded health plans integrated with wellness programs and web based employee education and self care tools. Prior to rejoining Thoits Insurance in March of 2010, Mike also spent time at Marsh, Inc. and the Hays Companies providing similar healthcare services to mid-market employers.

With 21 years of expertise, Mike continues to strive to keep his clients on the leading edge of healthcare benefit solutions and is a committed proponent of wellness education within employer groups.

Mike is the father of three sons. Mike’s free time is mostly spent watching his sons participate in sports, theater and music. He enjoys golf, skiing and playing his drums.
